PARLIAMENT STREET & ESSEX GATE

Description :
Paramount Hotel at Parliament Street and Essex Gate in Temple Bar, the newest location in Europe's favorite capital city, opening August 1999. The hotel's facade - a relic of old Dublin - so good it's listed - and at night, bathed in light. The new landmark at Temple Bar's West End - cosmopolitan, but of course.

on Friday October 03, 03 at 14:32 PM (GMT): Overall : Cleanliness : Poor,
Facilities : Good ,
Location : Good Other Comments : Excellent hotel for the money. Located a few blocks outside of Temple Bar area (which is good) but very walkable to all sights in Dublin. Excellent Irish breakfast. Try to obtain a room facing the courtyard because there is a nightclub attached to the hotel which can be very noisy until the wee hours.
Highly recommend this hotel.

Facilities : Good ,
Location : Good Other Comments : Very smart pleasant hotel to stay in, would highly recommend it, but bear a couple of things in mind:
1) It is in Temple Bar, so very convenient for nightlife but a little noisy at night (single glazed windows). Also while I was there there was building work going on opposite, but it didn't start until 9am so wasn't too much of a disruption.
2) The room I stayed in, the bathroom was lovely, very smart and lovely strong power shower, however the shower cubicle was quite small, anyone over 5'10" would have to duck!
I booked in advance and it was a lovely stay for the money, very nicely decorated, extremely helpful staff looked after our bags on the final day until we were ready to pick them up and leave, and ordered a taxi for us.
